Meet Amanda Tackenberg

Amanda P. Tackenberg is a Cuban-American Miami native who has dedicated her entire legal career to marital and family law. She launched Tackenberg Family Law in 2021 to build a practice centered on one principle: clients who understand their case make better decisions for themselves and their families.

Before founding TFL, Amanda spent 8 years at a boutique family law firm where she handled complex and high net-worth marital and family law matters. That foundation in intricate, multi-layered cases informs how she approaches every client she serves, regardless of case size.

As a Florida Supreme Court Certified Family Law Mediator, Amanda brings a comprehensive understanding of both litigation and alternative dispute resolution. That dual perspective shapes her strategic advice: always exploring whether a negotiated resolution can serve her clients better and faster than trial.

Amanda is actively involved in the Family Law Section of the Florida Bar and is currently in her second term on the Executive Council. She has served as Chair of the Publications Committee, Secretary of the Legislation Committee, and Co-Chair of the Membership Committee. She previously served as Editor of The Commentator, the section’s trade journal.

She graduated cum laude from the University of Florida Levin College of Law, earning the Family Law Certificate. As a law student she represented juvenile clients in dependency and delinquency courts as a Certified Legal Intern, and interned with the Guardian ad Litem program and Three Rivers Legal Services. Prior to law school, she earned her B.A. from the University of Virginia, double-majoring in English Literature and Spanish, and was awarded the T. Braxton Woody Fellowship for distinguished scholarship.

Amanda is a member of the Miami-Dade Chapter of the Florida Association of Women Lawyers, the Miami-Dade Bar, The First Family Law American Inn of Court, and the Cuban American Bar Association. She is fluent in English and Spanish.
